National Symposium on Emerging Trends in Bioinformatics

 

CHANDIGARH - April 26, 2011: The Centre for System Biology and Bioinformatics, Panjab
University organized a National Symposium on ‘Emerging Trends in Bioinformatics” at
ICSSR Complex, P.U.   About 100 participants from various Institutes/Universities
attended the symposium.  Prof. R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University
inaugurated the symposium.  Dr. Suresh K. Sharma, Coordinator, Centre for System
Biology and Bioinformatics emphasized the importance of Bioinformatics Tools in
Scientific Research.  The Dean Science, Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia welcomed the delegates.  
Prof. P.V. Bharatam (NIPER), Dr. Elizabeth M. Sobhia (NIPER), Dr. Balvinder Singh
(IMTECH) and Dr. Veena Puri (DAV College) were the invited speakers who spoke on
various topics like Computer Aided Drug Design Molecular Modeling/Simulations and
Microarray Technology.  Dr. Tammanna Sahrawat proposed the vote of thanks.
