Special Session for Children and Teachers in 32nd Indian Geography Congress

 


CHANDIGARH – OCTOBER 26: The 32nd Indian Geography Congress of National Association of
Geographers, India to be held in Panjab University, Chandigarh from Nov 19-21 will
have a special session for Children Geography Congress on Nov 20, 2010. There shall be
map-quiz for students of IX-XII. Each participating school will send only one team of
two students.  There shall be a separate contest for the teachers on understanding of
map and its application in daily life. A popular lecture is being arranged for
teachers and students. Winners of map quiz and map reading contest shall be awarded.
This special initiative is taken to expose the students and teachers of the growing
significance and latest developments in the field of geography.  All schools
interested can get details from Chairperson, Department of Geography, Panjab
University, Chandigarh and register for participation either by visiting the office or
on e mail geogdept@pu.ac.in latest by Nov 10, 2010. There is no registration fee
informed Dr Krishna Mohan, Chairperson, department of Geography and Convener, 32nd
Indian Geography Congress.
