CHANDIGARH-July 7, 2011: The admission/interview/counseling schedule of the following department/Centre is as under:-

Department of Computer Science & Applications

            The admission schedule for admission to M.C.A. 1^stYear Computer Science & Application, P.U. Chandigarh; Regional Centre, Muktsar and Hoshiarpur for the session 2011-12 will be based on the O-CET-2011.  The schedule for First Joint Admission Counseling for MCA Course-2011-2012 in the Auditorium of the Deptt. of Mathematics, Panjab University, Chandigarh is under:-

No separate interview/counselling letters will be sent.  Candidates shall be called for the counselling according to the merit list prepared by the University as per guidelines given in the prospectus.   If a candidate is late for counselling, he/she shall be offered only the seats available at the time he/she presents himself/herself on the day of counselling.  No waiting list shall be prepared. 

The candidates are advised to bring all the documents/certificates in original along with original Entrance Result Card of OCET and fee on the date of counselling. 

The candidates are advised to look up the PU website www.puchd.ac.infor important announcements from time to time, Dr. Indu Chhabra, chairperson of the department informed. 

Centre for System Biology & Bioinformatics

            The admission to M. Sc. 2 Year Course in the Centre for System Biology & Bioinformatics will be held on July 12, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the Committee Room of the Centre with Potential for Excellence in Biomedical Sciences, P.U. (Pharmacy Extension Building).   All the eligible candidates are advised to be present at the Centre by 9.30 a.m. for interview, Dr. Suresh K. Sharma, Coordinator of the Centre informed. 

Institute of Forensic Science & Criminology

The interview for admission to M. Sc Forensic Science & Criminology 1^stYear for the session 2011-2012 will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 9.30 a.m. in the Institute of Forensic Science & Criminology (2nd Floor, Pharmacy Extension Building), P.U. All applicants are advised to bring their original certificates, mark-sheets and other relevant documents for verification at the time of interview, Prof. R.K. Pathak, Coordinator of the Institute informed.

Department of Botany

            The interview for admission to M. Sc. (Hons. School) 1^stSemester in Botany will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10.30 a.m. in the department premises of all such candidates who have qualified the OCET-2011 in Botany conducted by the University and submitted admissions forms in the department, Prof. R.K Kohli, Chairperson of the department informed. 

Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology

            The interview for admission to M. A. 1^stSemester in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology will be held on July 12, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the department premises, Dr. Renu Thakur, Chairperson of the department informed.
