School of Communication Studies in collaboration with the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), and Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, New Delhi are holding a Training Program (Workshop) on Science Communication through Digital Media, from 22^nd to the 25^th August in the School of Communication Studies seminar hall. The 4 day workshop is being attended by over 40 participants from all over the region, who are from the fields of science or mass communication. Various sessions of the workshop deal with topics like Importance of science in society, effective science writing, writing for radio, interactive script writing for video, barriers in science communication, Developing Web content on Science, Communicating health to the Common man, Use of animation to tell the science story, Cinematic depiction of science  and Telling the science story on TV. Eminent journalists, writers and science communicators will be taking sessions that hold the promise of intellectual stimulation and practical application.
