Shiwali Gupta, student of Two Year MBA Full Time at University Business
School, PU Regional Centre, Ludhiana secured first position in the Panjab
University MBA IInd semester combined examination of UBS Ludhiana and UBS
Chandigarh.

Applauding the academic achievement of the student, Director of PURC
Ludhiana and Dean, faculty of Business Management and Commerce, Panjab
University, Chandigarh, Professor (Dr.) Deepak Kapur, said, ''I am very
happy at the academic performance of the students of University Business
School, Ludhiana. We are committed to achieve still higher standards in
consonance with our vision and mission." He further informed that PU
Regional Centre, Ludhiana has now been approved as a Research Centre by
the honourable Vice-Chancellor for doctoral research and pre-Phd Course
work in management and laws.

Ludhiana told that the force behind the excellence in academic results is
the blessings and support of Director Prof. Deepak Kapur, hard work of the

The excellence shown by the students of MBA program is in continuation of
the excellent results achieved by the students of University Institute of
Laws, PU Regional Centre, Ludhiana. *Sukhmeet Singh Bhatia, Saurav Bhatia,
Kawish Bedi *and* Ferry Sofat *won the Spirit of Surana Award in all around
excellence at Surana and Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Competition
2011 held at University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University,
Chandigarh from 16-18 September 2011. The team of students from PU Regional
campus bagged other prices also in the moot court competition.
