Improvement of Post Graduate Degree Examination through Annual System

This is for the information of the public in general and students in particular that the Panjab University, Chandigarh has permitted those candidates who have qualified their Post Graduate Degree Examination through Annual System to improve their result. With the introduction of Semester System at the Post Graduate level, the University has decided that a student who wishes to improve in a paper of Annual System will now has to take two papers, one of the odd and one of the corresponding even semester. The average of the marks obtained in two papers will be considered for improvement of that paper. In this manner, as before, the students may improve in any number of papers. It has also been decided that since in the Semester System, students have to take Examination in double the number of papers as compared to annual system, therefore they should be given four chances for improvement within a period of 5 years.

                        Those who wish to appear for improvement for December 2012 Semester Examination will be allowed to submit their Examination Forms for 1st/3rd Semester Examinations till 31st October, 2012, without late fee and with late fee of Rs.1550/- till            15th November, 2012. For subsequent Examinations, the normal dates for receipt of application would be applicable.
