The Second day of the International Conference on Strategic Marketing of
Consumer and Technology Products (ICSMCTP 2010) scheduled on December 10
and December 11, 2010 at University Business School, Panjab University
Regional Centre, Ludhiana again saw a very enthusiastic response by the
academicians and researchers. more than 40 (Forty) high quality papers
were presented at the two technical sessions scheduled during the
pre-lunch sessions on 11/12/2010.
Dr Sudhir Kapur, General Manager and Coordinator to Chairman and Managing
Director (CMD), of MMTC Ltd (a Navratna Central Public sector Enterprise);
Shri Preet Mohinder Singh, Assistant General Manager of SADB Bank,
Chandigarh; Prof Sanjay Modi, Senior Dean at Jalandhar chaired/ co-chaired
the technical sessions.
After lunch, Valedictory Session was organised that was presided over by
Shri Manish Tewari, MP and Spokesperson of All India Congress Committee
(AICC), New Delhi. The Chief Guest was Shri Harshvir Singh, Managing
Director, Drish Infotech, Chandigarh who gave an interesting talk on the
marketing issues involved in software exports. Dr Sudhir Kapur, General
Manager, MMTC Limited, who was the Guest of Honor, delivered a highly
illuminating talk on 'Innovative Logistics in Strategic Marketing of
Consumer and Technology Products' that was highly appreciated by the
delegates. Shri Gopal Krishan Chatrath, Dean Faculty of Laws of Panjab
University, Chandigarh; and Ms Anu Chatrath Mayor of Chandigarh and
Senator of PU Chandigarh were other prominent dignitaries present on the
dias.
Next the presidential address was delivered by Shri Manish Tewari, MP and
Spokesperson of AICC. Shri Manish Tewari fundamentally agreed to offer all
financial and other help for the proposal of Dr Deepak Kapur, Director, PU
Regional Centre, Ludhiana for the setting up of a Management Development
and Research Centre (MDRC), at Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana
for which a seed money of Rs 50 Lakhs is required out of the proposed
total investment of 1.5 Crores.
