Apply for Slogan Writing Contest upto 31st Dec 2015

 

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has extended the last date for submitting entries for ‘Slogan of the University’ contest upto December 31.

The selected slogan would be used as the tagline or punch-line of the University. The students, faculty, staff and Alumni of PU, affiliated colleges and Regional Centres of the PU can submit their entries for the Slogan. The Department of Public Relations is conducting the competition as the Nodal Department on behalf of the University.

PU Director Public Relations, Mr Vineet Punia informed that 24 enteries have been received so far and there is no entry fee for participating in the contest. First prize winner would be awarded with the cash amount of Rs. 10,000/- and first runner up would be awarded with cash amount of  Rs. 5000/-. The Winners would be honoured with cash prize, certificate/citation at the time of PU Convocation.

The Slogan should be one liner with the maximum limit of 10 words. Exceeding this limit will automatically disqualify the entry from the competition. The slogan must be original and participant would give certificate that he/she has not been copied or taken the Slogan from anywhere else.

The entry form is available at PU website and the Entries can be sent either by email to slogan@pu.ac.in or through registered post at Office of DPR, Room No. 43, Administrative Block, Ground Floor, Sector-14, Panjab University, Chandigarh latest by December 31.

The Departments at PU Campus, affiliated colleges and Regional Centres have also been urged to hold internal competitions for selecting the Slogan of the University. The Departments can send the recommended entries to the office of DPR with all the required details given in the Performa.

The selected slogans would be used by the University in its publications or any other appropriate use. The panel of experts would adjudge the best entry and the decision of the expert panel would be treated as final.
