Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has bagged the CII-Clarivate Analytics India-UK Award For Excellence In Research Collaboration PU Vice Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover received the prestigious award at the India-UK Tech Summit at New Delhi on Wednesday. The summit was organised by Department of DST, Government of India, Confederation of Indian Industry. PU Registrar Col GS Chadha (Retd.), Director Research Promotion Cell Prof OP Katare, Associate Director Prof Archana Bhatnagar, Director Public Relations Mr Vineet Punia also accompanied the VC at the award Ceremony. PU is the only Indian University, which got selected for the award.

PU has been selected on basis of international collaboration and research excellence indicators derived from the analysis done by Clarivate Analytics on Web of Science (multi-disciplinary abstracting and citation index) and InCites (Research performance evaluation and benchmarking tool).

PU is the winner of this award amongst the Indian Institutes on account of having 434 articles, which is 9% of the total research articles, authored in collaboration with the UK institutions. 95% of these collaborative articles have received at least one citation and their average citation impact is 18.6 per research article. PU also tops the chart on research excellence with 41 highly cited papers.
