Date of Two Week Training Programme on Research Methodology in Social Sciences for Research Scholars/Faculty Members postponed
This to inform you that Indian Council of Social Science Research, North-Western Regional Centre had announced two week Training Programme from 5 to 17,February 2018 on “Research Methodology in Social Sciences for Research Scholars and Teachers” belonging to SC/ST and marginalised groups who are doing their Ph.D from University Departments, affiliated colleges and Research Institutions located in the State of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Now this Training Programme has been postponed and will be held from 5 to 17 March, 2018 instead of 5 to 17 February, 2018. Duly filled in registration form recommended by the Head of the Department/Institution may be submitted to the Deputy Director, ICSSR North-Western Regional Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh – 160014 latest by February 24,2018. The maximum number of seats are 30. However, in case of non availability of candidates from SC/ST and marginalised groups, the general category candidates can be considered. A copy of the registration form is enclosed. The research scholars who had applied earlier for this Training Programme need not apply again.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
The applicant must enclose the following documents with the Registration Form.
1. Submit 400 words write-up on his/her research aptitude and academic engagement.
2. Research Scholars who have already attended the training programme on Research Methodology organised by the ICSSR NWRC are not eligible.
3. Attach photocopy of the Registration Certificate of Ph.D. Do not attach the certificates of academic qualifications.
4. Fee will be received from the candidate after confirmation of his/her selection for the training programme. Do not attach any bank draft with the application form.
5. In case of non-availability of candidates from SC/ST and marginalized groups, the general category candidates can be considered.
Duly filled in Registration Form recommended by the Chairperson of the University Department/Principal of the College/Head of the Institution may be submitted to the Deputy Director, ICSSR North-Western Regional Centre, Panjab University,Sector-14, Chandigarh-160014 latest by February 24,2018. Selected candidates will be informed through e-mail / telephone. Incomplete registration form in any respect, will not be considered. Registration Fee:
Rs.800/- for Teachers or equivalent
Rs.400/- for Research Scholars.
