CHANDIGARH- March 22, 2011: Centre for Advanced Studies, department of Sociology,
Panjab University is organising a two-day national seminar on “Environment, Society
and Technology” on March 24 and 25 at the ICSSR Complex, Panjab University Campus.
    The seminar will be spread over two days having inaugural, valedictory,
technical and panel sessions.  In the inaugural session the main speakers will be
Prof. Indra Munshi from University of Mumbai, Prof. P.S. Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor,
Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala and Prof. S.L. Sharma, former Dean,
Social Sciences, Panjab University.  The valedictory address will be delivered by
Prof. Gopal Krishan, Professor Emeritus, Department of Geography, Panjab University
and the session will be chaired by Prof. B.S. Ghuman, Dean, Social Sciences, Prof. S.
Sabbarwal, Seminar Director informed.
