The Panjab University in collaboration with the Public
Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs is organising distinguished lecture
series on India’s Foreign Policy.  Mr. G. Parthasarthy, former High Commissioner of
India to Pakistan will deliver the first MEA Distinguished lecture on “Indo-Pak
Dialogue: Track II Diplomacy” on Tuesday, October 26 at 11.00 am in the Golden Jubilee
Hall of the University.
The MEA Distinguished Lecture Series on India’s foreign policy is organised by
the Public Diplomacy Division for the purpose of taking the discussion on foreign
policy issues outside the corridors of power in Delhi.   Though Indian diplomats are
quite accustomed to speaking on foreign university campuses and to think tanks around
the world, this is for the first time that MEA has engaged leading universities and
academic institutions within India for the purpose.  Fourteen lectures have already
been organised during the last seven months in places like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa,
Ranchi, Bangalore, Shillong, Guwahati, Imphal, Tezpur, Gangtok and others informed
