Panjab University has granted Golden Chance to all UG/PG/Professional Courses semester system only w.e.f. admission year 2014 vide notification No. 16811/CE, dated 9.7.2025.  PG courses semester system was introduced in the year 2011, so the University authorities have now extended the benefit of Golden Chance to the PG/Professional courses semester system only w.e.f. the admission year 2011. Students who do not have their reappear chances available can apply for this examination to clear their respective Reappear /Compartment/Full Subjects / Improvement / Missed Practicals. This golden chance is only for the Semester System Courses and will be conducted along with the End Semester Examinations – November / December 2025 for odd semesters and April / May 2026 for even semesters. At present, candidates can apply only for odd semester golden chance examination.

For even semesters: Opening date of portal will tentatively be in the month of February 2026 and examination for the same will be conducted in End Semester Examination – May 2026.
