CHANDIGARH-July 7, 2011: The admission/interview/counseling schedule of the following
department is as under:-

Department of Evening Studies

The interview for admission to B.Com. Part-1 will be held on July 11, 2011 at 5.00
p.m. in the Auditorium of the Department of Evening Studies

The interview for admission to B.Com. Part-II will be held on July 11 and 12, 2011 at
5.00 p.m. in Room No.5, Arts Block-I (First Floor).

The interview for admission to B.Com.-III will be held on July 11 and 12, 2011 at 5.00
p.m. in Room No.6, Arts Block No.I (First Floor).

The interview for admission to B.A. Part-I will be held on July 11 and 12, 2011 at
5.00 p.m. in Room No.1  for Group-1, Room No.3 for Group-2, Room No.4 for Group No.3
and Ground  Floor Hall for Group 4 in Arts Block No.1.
The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (English) will be held on July 11, 2011 in
Room No.1 (First Floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (Political Science) will be held on July
11, 2011 in Room No.2 (First Floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (History) will be held on July 11, 2011
in Room No.3 (First Floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (Economics) will be held on July 11, 2011
in Room No.7 of Arts Block No. I at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (Punjabi) will be held on July 11, 2011 in
Room No.8 of Arts Block No. I at 5.00 p.m., the General Coordinator (Admissions),
Department of Evening Studies informed.  

Department of Physics

    Counseling for admission to M.Tech. Ist year (Nanoscience &  Nanotechnology)
will be held on 18.07.2011 at 10.30 a.m. in the committee room of Physics department.
The candidates are required to bring all the original academic certificates, other
certificates, an affidavit of gap year in original, SC/ST certificate for
verification, on the basis of which admission is sought. Coordinator, Nanoscience &
Nanotechnology,C.E.A.S.T., P.U. informed.
Centre for Public Health
(Institute for Emerging Areas in Science & Technology)

    The  Departmental Entrance Test for taking admission in 1st year of Master in
Public Health course will be held on 11th July,2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the Zoology
department auditorium,P.U. Chd. The test will comprise of 100 multiple choice
questions to be attempted in 90 minutes. There will be negative marking as per CET
rules. Candidates are advised to bring all original documents in support to their
admission.

Department of Mathematics

    The interview for admission to M.Sc.(Hons. School) 1st Year (through OCET) in
Mathematics for the Academic session 2011-12 will be held as per schedule given below:

Hindi Department

    The interview for the admission into first semester M.A. Hindi for the session
2011 shall be held on July11,2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the room of the Chairperson,Hindi
department. All the applicants have been asked to bring in their original academic
etc. certificates on the said date.

    The department also runs a Diploma in Translation (Eng. To Hindi). The last
date to apply for the same is July 22,2011. According to Chairperson department of
Hindi.

Department of Urdu

    The interview for the admission to M.A. 1st semester in the subject of Urdu
will be held on 11.7.2011 (Monday) from 10.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. except the lunch hour
in the department of Urdu. The students are advised to bring their original documents
and other relevant papers related to admission on the day of interview as mentioned
above
