CHANDIGARH-July 8, 2011: The admission/interview/counseling schedule of the following
department is as under:-

Centre for Public Health

    The Departmental Entrance Test for taking admission in 1st year of Master in
Public Health course will be held on July 11, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the Zoology
department auditorium, P.U.  The test will comprise of 100 multiple choice questions
to be attempted in 90 minutes. There will be negative marking as per CET rules.
Candidates are advised to bring all original documents in support to their admission.

Department of Mathematics

    The interview for admission to M. Sc. (Hons. School) 1st Year (through OCET)
in Mathematics for All Categories for the Academic session 2011-12 will be held on
July 13, 2011(Wednesday) at 10.00 a.m. in the Mathematics Auditorium, Professor A.K.
Bhandari, Chairperson of the department informed.
    
Hindi Department

    The interview for the admission to first semester M.A. Hindi shall be held on
July11, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the room of the Chairperson, Hindi department. All the
applicants have been asked to bring in their original academic etc. certificates on
the said date, the chairperson department of Hindi informed.

Department of Urdu

    The interview for the admission to M.A. 1st semester in the subject of Urdu
will be held on 11.7.2011 (Monday) from 10.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. except the lunch hour
in the department of Urdu. The students are advised to bring their original documents
and other relevant papers related to admission on the day of interview as mentioned
above

Centre for Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering

The department level admission test followed by interview for admission to
M. Sc. 1st  Year in Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering will be held on Monday, July 11  at
09:30 am in the Centre for Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering (2nd floor, Pharmacy
extension block building, Sector-14, P.U.). All the applicants are advised to reach
the centre by 09:00 a.m. sharp and must also bring their original certificates, mark
sheets and other relevant documents for verification, Dr. Sanjeev Puri, Coordinator of
the Centre informed.  

School of Communication Studies

    Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) for admission to M.A. 1st
(Journalism & Mass Communication) will be held in the department as per the following
schedule:-

etc. detailed marks cards, eligible certificate, character certificate from the last
institute attended and certificate relevant to the claim to Reserved Category by 4.00
p.m. up to 11.7.2011 as per the format given in the Handbook of Information, the
Chairperson of the department informed.  

Department of Chemistry

    The interview for admission to M.Sc. (Hons. School) 1st Year Chemistry (based
on OCET Examination) for the session 2011-12 will be held on July 14, 2011 at 10.00
a.m. in the Seminar Room of the department.

Department of Public Administration

    The interviews for admission to M.A. 1st Semester (Public Administration) for
the session 2011-12 will be held at the Department of Public Administration in Arts
Block No. III, P.U. Campus on July 12, 2011 (Tuesday) at 10.00 a.m.

Department of Zoology

    The interview for admission to M. Sc. (Hons. School) 1st Year in Zoology will
be held on July 14, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. of those candidates who have qualified the OCET-
2011 in Zoology conducted by the University and have submitted admission forms in the
department.  The candidates should bring all the original documents/certificates at
the time of interview.



Department of Physics

    Counseling for admission to M.Tech. 1st Year (Nanoscience &  Nanotechnology)
will be held on 18.07.2011 at 10.30 a.m. in the committee room of Physics department.
The candidates are required to bring all the original academic certificates, other
certificates, an affidavit of gap year in original, SC/ST certificate for
verification, on the basis of which admission is sought. Coordinator, Nanoscience &
Nanotechnology, C.E.A.S.T., P.U. informed.

Department of Computer Science & Applications

    This is for the information of all the candidates who have submitted their
admission forms for admission to MCA Course-2011 are hereby advised to submit the
related documents to avoid any discrepancy by 5.00 p.m. up to 11.7.2011.   No document
will be entertained after July 11, 2011, the chairperson of the department informed.

National Centre for Human Genome Studies & Research (NCHGSR)

    The counseling/interview for admission to M. Sc. (Human Genomics) 1st Semester
for the session 2011-12 has been fixed for July 19, 2011 at 10.30 a.m. in the office
of the Director, NCHGSR department in the Pharmaceutical Extension Block, P.U.
campus.   The candidates are required to bring all the original certificates/documents
at the time of interview and no separate letter will be issued, the Director of the
Centre informed.      

Department of Anthropology

    The interview for admission to M. Sc. (Hons. School) 1st Year will be held on
July 14, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the Department of Anthropology.

Department of Physical Education

    Physical Efficiency Test for admission to B.P. Ed. (Bachelor of Physical
Education) and M. P.Ed. (Master of Physical Education) courses will be held on July
14, 2011 at 7.00 a.m. at University Grounds.

    Counseling/Interview for admission to B.P. Ed. and M.P. Ed. Courses will also
be held on the same date (July 14, 2011) in the Department of Physical Education,
Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Chairperson of the department informed.    

Department of Evening Studies

The interview for admission to B.Com. Part-1 will be held on July 11, 2011 at 5.00
p.m. in the Auditorium of the Department of Evening Studies

The interview for admission to B.Com. Part-II will be held on July 11 and 12, 2011 at
5.00 p.m. in Room No.5, Arts Block-I (First Floor).

The interview for admission to B.Com.-III will be held on July 11 and 12, 2011 at 5.00
p.m. in Room No.6, Arts Block No.I (First Floor).

The interview for admission to B.A. Part-I will be held on July 11 and 12, 2011 at
5.00 p.m. in Room No.1  for Group-1, Room No.3 for Group-2, Room No.4 for Group No.3
and Ground  Floor Hall for Group 4 in Arts Block No.1.
The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (English) will be held on July 11, 2011 in
Room No.1 (First Floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (Political Science) will be held on July
11, 2011 in Room No.2 (First Floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (History) will be held on July 11, 2011
in Room No.3 (First Floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5.00 p.m.

The interviews for admission to M.A. Part-I (Economics) will be held on July 11, 2011
