As the 2012 batch of UIET (University Institute of
Engineering and Technology) students enters its final year, there is a buzz in the
campus regarding placements, the much desired corporate job that every
engineering student dreams of. The Training and Placement Committee of
UIET, along with the Placement Cell of Panjab University initiated a step
in this direction and organized a session on 4th  August 2011 under the
leadership of  Prof. S.K. Chadha (UBS) & Dr. Manu Sharma to guide the
students on “How to face the Interview Boards?”. Mr. Vinay Sharma, the
guest speaker specializes in HR Development and has worked in many Indian
and Multi-National Companies. He is also the program director with the All
India Management Association (AIMA) and a visiting faculty member to many
prestigious institutes like IIFT, ICAI, ISID. He has also been awarded
with the “Best Faculty” by Northern India Regional Council of ICAI. While
sharing his experiences of the Corporate World, his Seminar cum training
session unfolded as a heavy interaction with the students, clarifying many
myths in the minds of the students about the placement phase. He addressed
basic questions pertaining to the interviews, and showcased the proper
Body-Language and tricks to be followed during an interview.
This was followed by an inspirational lecture by Prof. S.K. Chadha (UBS
Department), Director of Central Placement Cell, Panjab University. The
lecture motivated the students to work hard for placements and to be the
