PRESS RELEASE

Some seats in M.E. (Chemical), M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) & M.Tech. (Polymer) Ist Year, Session 2011-12 are lying vacant in the University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh.   Interested candidates  who had not qualified OCET and have the following qualification may submit their application forms by August 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. and also appear for interview on the same date i.e. 24.8.2011 at 3 p.m. in the Institute’s Office with all the original certificates in order to determine the eligibility for admission. Those finally selected would be required to bring Rs.12407/- plus Rs.1800/- as late fee for M.E. (Chem.)/ M.Tech.(Polymer) and Rs.22507/- plus Rs.1800 as late fee for M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry), with the permission of the Vice-Chancellor, in the form of Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh.  In addition to above, an additional fee of Rs.410/- (Migration fee Rs.240/-, enrolment fee Rs.85/- and Registration fee Rs.85/-) will be paid by those students who are coming from any other University/Board/Council.

Qualification:

M.E. (Chemical):

B.E. (Chemical) or equivalent with at least 50% marks in the aggregate from Panjab University or any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to. 

M.Tech. (Polymer)

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Polymer Science/Engg./Tech./Plastic Tech. or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in the aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto

Master’s degree in Technical Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Chemistry(with Math upto Graduation) Or an equivalent examination with at least 55% marks in the aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto.

M.Sc.(Industrial Chemistry)

B.Sc.(Hons.) in Chemistry or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) or an equivalent examination with at     least 55% marks in the aggregate from Panjab University or any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto.
