Prof R.C.Sobti , Vice Chancellor, Panjab University who
is known for his myriad  of achievements, has added yet another one to his credit, as
he has been nominated as a member of Society of National Council of Science and
Museums (NCSM) by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India for a period of four
years with effect from 30th September 2011. Prof Sobti has also been nominated as
chairman of the Governing body of NCSM for a period of four years.

National Council of Science and Museums is the apex body of the science museums and
centres in the country. The activities of the council are ever expanding and it is
successfully attaining its objective of enhancing public understanding and
appreciation of science through nationwide network of science centres.
