CHANDIGARH: 20 October 2011: SAKSHAR as the name suggests is an education portal that
intends on bridging the gap between the private tutors and the students. Apart from
this, the main punch of the project is helping the disabled community to be the
intermediate between teachers and the students, who can earn by coordinating between
the teachers and students, sitting at their place only. For this, the disabled
community was given a rigorous voice and accent training by the SIFE team. A part of
the income of these disabled people will go to the orphans. The team also plans to
equip them with skills in MS-Excel so as to unable them to come at par with today’s
fast changing world. All the tutors involved will be screened and interviewed by the
SIFE team. The popularity of the idea is rising due to its unique and unparalleled
approach SAKSHAR is being run under SIFE UICET(Students in Free Enterprise
University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology)which is dedicated team
under the guidance of Prof. R.K.Chabbra, Chairperson, UICET, Prof. V.K. Rattan,
Faculty Advisor SIFE UICET, Nitin Gupta, President SIFE UICET. SAKSHAR team organized
a promotional event at New Public School Sec-18 Chandigarh, which consisted of a
paragraph writing competition in which students of class 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th
participated with brimming enthusiasm and interest. Attractive prizes including books
were awarded to Chitesh, Aanchal Sood, Risabh Sharma, Preet and Harshad by Vice-
Principal, Mrs.Sushma Jeryal. The project got huge applause and support from the
teachers of N.P.S. school.
