CHANDIGARH: 17 November 2011: The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences
(UIAMS) in collaboration with The Lions and Lioness Club, Panchkula Premier is
organizing an event-cum-competition on Friday, November 18 on the emerging issue of
today’s scenario, “Women Empowerment”, that covers all the burning issues i.e. Female
Foeticide, Dowry System and Status of Women in Society at 11.00 a.m. in English
Auditorium, P.U. Campus.  
         On this occasion activities, such as - Skit/Play, Individual Singing/
Performances and Giddha & competitions, such as - Declamation contest, Poem
Recitation, Slogan Writing and Poster Making are also organized relating to the theme
of the seminar, Dr. Avish Sharma, UIAMS informed.
