CHANDIGARH-November 23, 2011: Community Radio Station of Panjab University 91.2
Jyotirgamya has acquired a link on the Panjab University’s website after only eight
months of its inauguration; Vice Chancellor Prof. R. C. Sobti inaugurated the online
transmission in the department of Computer Sciences, P.U. Campus here today. This move
of the PU authorities has brought the Radio Station within the reach of its alumni
living in all parts of the country and also abroad. The links of the programmes have
been uploaded on the website of Panjab University i.e. puchd.ac.in.  It can be found
under the School of Communication Studies section. The link is scheduled to be updated
weekly. Speaking on the occasion Prof R.C. Sobti expressed his great joy by saying “I
am very elated by the thought that Panjab University’s Radio Jyotirgamya will be heard
by one and all in any part of the world. This will truly make Panjab University’s
global presence more powerful. ” Prof Sobti congratulated the team of the Computer
Centre and School of Communication Studies for this achievement. Dr Tankeshwar Kumar,
Director Computer Centre presented vote of thanks.
