The Dept. of Economics, Panjab University, is
organizing a National Seminar on 'Economic Development and Inclusive Growth in India'
on February 14, 2012 under the aegis of UGC Special Assistance
Programme. Prof. G.K. Chadha, President, South Asian University, New Delhi
will inaugurate the seminar and Prof. R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab
University, will preside. The keynote address will be delivered
by the noted agricultural economist, Prof. S.S. Johal. According to
Prof. Upinder Sawhney, Coordinator, UGC-SAP, the seminar will dwell on various
dimensions of economic development, poverty and inequality. Researchers
from various universities/institutes will be participating in the seminar.
