CHANDIGARH-March 6, 2012: Department of Punjabi, Panjab University organized K.K.
Grover and A.C. Bali Declamation Contest in the Gandhi Bhawan Auditorium, P.U. Campus
here today. Professor Sukhdev Singh presided over the function. Professor Uma
Sethi, Dr. Chander Mohan and Dr. Akwinder Kaur were the Judges of this event.
In K.K. Grover and A.C. Bali Declamation Contest, about eighteen students
participated from different departments of the University and affiliated College on
the different subjects, such as, Pop Songs, Lok Pal and Corruption, Mother Language
and Higher Education, World Globalization, Bani and Humanism, Election and Election
Commission, Democracy and Corruption, Environment and Development, Punjabi Culture and
Bani, etc.
Ms. Balwinder Kaur, Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana; Ms.
Jasanpreet Kaur, Guru Nanak Girls College, Muktsar and Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Guru Nanak
College, Moga bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively in K.K. Grover Declamation
Contest.
Ms. Jasanpreet Kaur, Guru Nanak Girls College, Muktsar; Ms. Manpreet Kaur,
Guru Nanak College, Moga and Ms. Preeti Bhola, Ramgharia Girls College, Ludhiana
bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively in A.C. Bali Declamation Contest.
In the end of the function, Prof. Nahar Singh thanked the teachers accompanied
the participants, Judges, teachers and staff of the Punjabi Department.
