CHANDIGARH - June 12, 2012:  Prof. Lalit K. Bansal, Director, University Institute of
Hotel Management and Tourism (UIHMT) has informed that the result of PUTHAT for
admission to UIHMT has been declared.  Counselling for admission to its B. Sc. Courses
(a) Hospitality & Hotel Management and (b) Tourism Management is scheduled as under:-

The venue for the counselling is University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism
(UIHMT), (near ICSSR Centre), Sector-14, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
 

Professor Lalit K. Bansal informed that the candidates reporting for interview should
keep in mind the following points:

1.     Candidate is required to appear personally for the counselling.
2.     Please bring all the original Detail Marks Certificates of Class 10th, 12th and
Character Certificate from the last institute attended. Attested photocopies of these
certificates must be deposited at the time of counselling.
3.     Original and appropriate certificate (as per format given in the Handbook of
Information) for claiming reservation under a category must be produced. Affidavit must
also be produced where required.
4.     In case there is a gap in your academic career, you are required to furnish an
affidavit to the effect, attested by the 1st Class Magistrate, that you were not
involved in an offence/unlawful activities during the gap years.
5.     The candidates will have to deposit the fee as mentioned in the following table in
the form of demand draft in favour of REGISTRAR, PANJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH, PAYABLE
AT CHANDIGARH.

6.     Further, all the candidates will have to deposit another Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three
Thousands Only) for Student Welfare Activities Fund in form of demand draft in favour of
DIRECTOR-INCHARGE, UIHMT, PANJAB UNIVERSITY, PAYABLE AT CHANDIGARH.
7.     Total Fee is to be deposited at the time of counseling and admission session.

In case, candidate wishes to take loan from the bank, an extension of 10 days in deposit
of fee may be granted on giving an undertaking that the candidate has applied for loan
and production of proof of having applied for bank loan.
