CHANDIGARH- July 27, 2012: The Department of University Centre for Instrumentation &
Microelectronics (UCIM), Panjab University in the session 2009-10 started a new course
in M.Sc.(Instrumentation). The unique feature of this course is to provide
technical education & hands-on training to students on sophisticated state-of-the-art
analytical instruments. This will enable them to seek industrial and R&D assignments
in the field of Instrumentation. In the era of globalization there is a great demand
for such qualified manpower in the public as well as private sector including
multinational and Indian companies. The Government is also encouraging and supporting
activities in the field of instrumentation. The department has to its advantage the
support of Government organizations in the form of a singed MOU with these
organizations.
Admissions are presently open to the M.Sc. (Instrumentation) Course. The
application form can be downloaded from the PU Website: www.puchd.ac.in free of cost.
However, those finally admitted will be charged Rs.50/- as cost of admission form
along with admission fee. Last Date for receipt of applications is August 21, 2012
and Counseling will be held on August 22, 2012 at 10.00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall of
the UCIM Department, P.U. Campus. For the details of the course students may contact
