Centre grants permission to PU dental institute for admissions

 

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has accorded permission for admitting the fifth batch of students at Dr H.S.J. Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital of the Panjab University for the year 2010-11.

In a communication to the Panjab University received here today, the Under Secretary to the Union government, Anita Tandon informed that a committee constituted under the chairmanship of Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College considered the matter in consultation with the Dental Council of India and observed that all new appointments were made in the faculty positions now and the faculty members have joined the institute.  Therefore, the deficiencies in the faculty position in the Institute are now corrected.  In view of this the union government on the recommendation made by the committee has granted permission to Dr H.S. Judge Institute of Dental Sciences of the Panjab University for admitting the fifth batch of students with 100 seats for the academic year 2010-11.
