Prof. R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University will
inaugurate two-day Regional Workshop on “Water Availability and Management in Punjab
(WAMIP-2010, Under HP II) on Monday, December 13 at the ICSSR Complex of the
University at 10.00 am.   Er. R.D. Singh, Director, National Institute of Hydrology,
Roorkee will preside over the inaugural function.
    The Valedictory Function of this Workshop will be held on Tuesday, December 14
at 5.00 pm at the ICSSR Complex, P.U. campus.  Dr. S.C. Dhiman, Chairman, Central
Ground Water Board will be the Chief Guest on this occasion.  Mr Bhajan Singh,
Regional Director, CGWB, North-West Region, Chandigarh will preside over the
valedictory function, informed Prof. G.S. Gill, Chairman, Department of Geology who is
also Chairman of the Local Organising Committee of this Workshop.
