Group of students have been placed as internees at different textile and apparel hubs in India.

 

CHANDIGARH: December 18, 2012: A group of students of third year B.Sc. Fashion and 
Lifestyle Technology from UIFT&VD Panjab University, with an aim towards blending the 
classroom principles with the industry application have been placed as internees at 
different textile and apparel hubs in India.  This six weeks rigorous training in the 
month of December and January will give practical exposure to the students and further 
application of the gained knowledge in industrial projects and assignments. 
Orient Crafts, Gurgaon; CTA Apparels, NOIDA; Texport Overseas, Bangalore; Hirumchi 
styling, New Delhi; Nahar, Oswals, 612 IVY League from Ludhiana; Rana Polycot Ltd, 
Mohali; French Connection, Chandigarh; are some of the organizations giving industrial 
training to these students.  During this period students will be exposed to specialized 
areas of design development, Pattern engineering, Product development, Quality 
assurance, textile testing, market research and sourcing, merchandising, varied design 
and management IT applications in the apparel industry.
