CHANDIGARH: January 10, 2013: The ICSSR North Western Regional Centre, Panjab
University, Chandigarh is organizing a special lecture under the ICSSR Special Lecture
Series on “The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education: Trials and
Tribulation in its Realization” (A juridical Critique of its constitutional perspective
in the light of Three Judge Bench Judgment of the supreme court in society for unaided
private schools of Rajasthan v. Union of India, 2012) by Prof. Virendra Kumar. Prof.
Kumar is, Former founding director (Academics), Chandigarh Judicial Academy; Chairman
Department of Laws ;Dean ,Faculty of Law; Fellow, Panjab University & UGC Emeritus
Fellow. Professor Arun Kumar Grover, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University. will give the
welcome address. The Lecture will be chaired by Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. S. Nijjar Judge,
Supreme Court of India. The Guest of Honour will  be Hon’ble Mr.Justice M.M.Kumar Chief
Justice, Jammu Kashmir High Court in Lecture Theatre ,ICSSR Complex, P.U. on January
