UGC sponsored refresher course in “Research Methodology in Sciences” concluded today at
Academic Staff College (ASC), Panjab University (PU) Chandigarh. The course was
organised to orient the colleges and universities teachers regarding the prevailing
research methodologies in sciences.
Latest research techniques and methodologies were taught to the 26 University and
College teachers, during the 21 days long refresher course. These teachers have come
from states of Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh The refresher course had
started from May 25 and was organised at Biotechnology Branch, UIET.
A valedictory function was organized to mark the conclusion of the refresher course.
Dean College Development Council, PU, Prof. Naval Kishore was the Chief Guest at the
valedictory function. He motivated the participants to engage themselves in research for
professional as well as personal growth. Director UIET Prof. Renu Vig, and Director,
UIET, Hoshiarpur Prof. J. Goswami were also present.
Honorary Director, ASC, Prof. R.K. Pathak enlightened the participants with his vision.
Dr. Jayanti Datta also spoke on the occasion and briefed about the various activities of
ASC. Closing session was followed by various performances and presentations.
