Panjab University Alumni Meet
Panjab University, Chandigarh, is organizing a joint Alumni Meet, first of its kind, on 19-20 February 2011. The two-day program will be marked with events imbibed with nostalgic fun, frolic and meaningful parleys.
Day 1: 19thFebruary 2011
The event will begin with Registration and Inauguration at the Central level. His Excellency, Shri N N Vohra, Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest on the inaugural function and Prof R C Sobti, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University would preside over. Many dignitaries among alumni are likely to attend. . At the department level, Alumni will go down their memory lanes by sharing their unforgettable moments as students, success stories, short speeches, and face to face interactions with other alumni members. The cultural evening on the PU Campus is endeavored to be a treasured experience with artistic activities performed by well-known singers and artists, mostly among our own alumni. This will be followed by the Dinner.
Day 2: 20thFebruary 2011
On the final second day, there will be an award function, where scholarships, stipends and awards will be presented to the brilliant students and illustrious alumni. Panel discussions on contemporary alumni-alma mater relationship, followed by an open house from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, will be the highlight at the central level, with a tea break in-between. The valedictory function will be followed by Lunch.
Alumni who want to participate in the event may first enroll themselves with Panjab University Alumni Association by 31stJanuary 2011 online as its Life members. Limited accommodation is also available on PU campus at affordable economy tariffs on the first-come first-served basis.
