Panjab University (PU), University Institute of Hotel Management & Training (UIHMT) hotel management students have bagged many top prizes at the 10th National Hospitality Talent Hunt ‘ABHYODAY 2015’ organised by the Amrapali Group of Institutions, Haldwani. The talent hunt was organised from February 20 to 22, 2015.

          In this hospitality talent hunt, more than 100 students from 18 hotel management institutes from various parts of India participated and were judged by the noted professionals of the hotel industry.

          Ms. Heena Rana and Sahijpreet Singh got the 1st Prize in Bread and Cookies Competition, while in the category Best Indian Confectionary the team of Ms. Heena Rana and Ms. Pooja Punia got the first position.

          In the event Culinary Competition Mr. Abhishek Sharma and Ravi Gaurang got second position. In Bartending competition Mr. Birender Thakur and Mr. Anupam Chhabra were adjudged best entertainer and their team got the second position, while in another competition Hospitality Brain Twister Mr. Sahijpreet Singh and Mr. Dhruv Kakkar got the third position.

          Director, UIHTM, Prof. L.K. Bansal has congratulated the students on their accomplishment and was of high praise to UIHTM faculty for their guidance.
