Noted Scientist and Emeritus Professor, Centre for High Energy Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Prof. N. Mukunda would deliver a lecture in the Seminar Hall of Physics Department, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh on March 12 at 4 PM.

Prof. N. Mukunda would speak on the topic of "Science and the Human Predicament". He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, the National Academy of Sciences, India, Allahabad, and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, Trieste.

Prof Mukunda has received the SS Bhatnagar Prize in 1980. He received the Meghnad Saha Award of the UGC in 1985, the Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Lecture Award of INSA in 1992 and Sir M Visvesvaraya State Award from Government of Karnataka in 2003.
