The Department of Geography, Panjab University is launching “Geography Help Services” for the students preparing for Xth Board Examination of CBSE, ICSE and any other board to be held in March 2011.  In the help services beginning from January 6, the Department will answer questions related to geography syllabus of board examination of the students from any part of the country and offer solutions to the problems.  Students can avail any one of the three help services of the department for help.  They can contact on department e-mail address
geogdept@pu.ac.in from benefit for Help Mail Service.  They can also contact on department telephone number 0172- 2727714 between 4 to 5 pm from Monday to Friday.  The third service i.e Geography Help Desk is also available for students and their parents on Saturdays between 11 am to 1 pm who can meet geography experts to get answers to the questions on the subject.
             These services are being provided as University’s social responsibility to help the students and reduce their stress.  The services will be available January 6 till the days of their exams.  These services are provided every year since January 2009 and have been popularly availed by the students, informed Prof Krishna Mohan, Chairperson, department of Geography.
