Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has announced the Academic Calendar of the PU teaching departments and Regional Centres having semester system for the session 2015-16.

The Admission schedule for ongoing and new classes, except for those classes in which admission is through Common Entrance Tests (CET), would be conducted from July 6 to July 13. The admission for classes through CET (UG & PG) would be tentatively conducted from July 9, 2015. Saturday would be working day during normal admission days.   

Teaching for the ongoing classes would start on July 8 and for new admissions, it would start on July 14. Teaching work for the classes, admitted through CET(UG & PG), would tentatively start from July 14.

The admission of the PU affiliated Colleges, with Arts, Science & Commerce having annual system for the year 2015-16, would be conducted from July 6 to July 13. Teaching work at the teaching departments at the PU affiliated Colleges would start for the ongoing classes on July 9.

Normal admission for ongoing and new classes (except for those classes in which admission is through CET) at PU affiliated Colleges having semester system would be conducted from July 6 to July 13.

The Summer Vacations in the PU teaching departments and its affiliated colleges would be from May 25 to July 5, the Autumn Break would be from October 22 to October 28 and Winter break would be observed from December 21, 2015 to January 3, 2016.
