Under the able guidance and leadership of Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab, Panjab University, Chandigarh is celebrating 125th birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna – Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and in this context Panjab University in collaboration with Punjab Government is organizing one day National Seminar on 30th August 2016 at 10.30 a.m.at Law Auditorium, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Among the dignitaries is H.E Governor of Bihar. Sh. Ram Nath Kovind Ji, H.E Governor of Haryana Sh. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Speaker Vidhan Sabha S.Charanjit Singh Atwal, Chaudhary Zulfkar Ali Hon’ble minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and Legal metrology, Government Of Jammu & Kashmir, cabinet ministers and many well known scholars, academicians and Government officials are expected to participate in this National Seminar on “Parliamentary Democracy: Views of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar”. The main objectives of this seminar are to deliberate upon philosophy and ideas of Dr. Ambedkar on Parliamentary Democracy and its operational mechanism and also to discuss and evaluate success and failures of India’s Parliamentary Democracy. Keynote Address By is by Prof. Sushma Yadav, Professor of Public Policy & Governance, Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. Valedictory Address By would be given by Prof. R.S. Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences & Chairman - Department of Political Science, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Other Dignitaries and Scholars who are going to participate in the programme are, Prof. Paramjit Singh Judge, Prof. A.S. Narang, Prof. Karori Singh, Prof. Jagroop Singh Sekhon, Prof. Baljit Singh and Prof. A.D. Mishra.
